Worship With Your All

It’s been awhile since we discussed a quote. So I chose one for this week:

“Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God.” William Temple

Remember, I want to hear your thoughts and comments about this quote. What does it say to you?

I will give my thoughts on it in my next post.

We should worship God in every aspect of our lives…the ways we speak, think, react, what we feel. To submit to God, in all the things that come naturally to me, is not easy. I still do things that are of me and not God. It’s a daily battle. But to be submissive before God is my greatest desire…if I start there, then anything is possible.

I don’t know Joani, our nature is ‘sin nature’ but I guess if we try to go in the opposite direction other than our sin nature, then we’re going in the right direction? And so we’re submitting our sin nature to God? See that’s why I hesitate to answer, I think I’m going in the wrong direction!!! So I’ll submit that to God!

Before I read todays post I wanted to answer this one. I had to put a lot of thought into this one and the same simple, yet complicated statement kept coming to mind. I believe true worship takes place through the complete abandonment of self.
